|Pathways to Aviation Speakers Panel 2014|
A flying success!
The sixth annual Pathways to Aviation Speakers Panel was another success. A room full of aviation and aerospace enthusiasts listened to presentations made by experts in the area of education, as well as an update on this year's air races.
The evening's emcee, Eric Henry, shared the Foundation's slogan - "Join the Crew" - which invites enthusiasts to become actively involved in preserving aviation's past and fostering aviation's future. The message was reflected in the outstanding presentation by Dr. Ken Witcher, the event's keynote speaker.
Special thanks go to Sierra Nevada Corporation, the event's co-sponsor; the University of Nevada, the event's host; Greg Stanley, for recruiting Ken; and the event's other great speakers - Kate Marshall (State of Nevada), Pedro Martinez (Washoe County School District), Paul McFarlane (Challenger Learning Center of Northern Nevada), and Mike Major (Reno Air Racing Association).
We'd also like to thank News 4, which conducted a number of interview. Click here to watch a pre-event clip, which appeared throughout the day on Channel 4.
